Student Leaders in Tanauan For A First Gathering


Consequent upon LIT's Vision and Mission is its sworn duty and obligation to educate and
train the youth within its sphere of influence, towards the love of God and country. The
notion of leadership, and this under the auspices of Jose P. Laurel's ideals, necessarily
follows.

At present, there are twenty-one (21) student organizations in LIT. They are composed of four (4) school councils, eight (8) academic related organizations, three (3) cultural groups, five (5) interest groups, and one (1) scholarship group. Added to this is the school council of the BSN students, whose first and second years are spent in LIT.

On November 28, 2007, a Wednesday, thirty (30) student leaders from these different groups met at the Laurel Ancestral House in Tanauan. The latter is now being taken cared of by LIT in coordination with the Laurel Memorial Foundation.
