Do not cheer so much

Ill. students lose diplomas over cheers (AP)

Caisha Gayles smiles as she waits with classmates in Thiel Gymnasium for commencement ceremonies to begin Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Ill. Caisha, who graduated with honors, and four other students crossed the stage during commencement but were denied diplomas later after enthusiastic friends or family members cheered for them during commencement. That violated a contract students and their parents had to sign about a month before the ceremony promising they would behave with dignity or lose their keepsake diploma and a pass to the school's post-graduation party. (AP Photo/The Register Mail, Kent Kriegshauser)AP - Caisha Gayles graduated with honors last month, but she is still waiting for her diploma. The reason: the whoops of joy from the audience as she crossed the stage.
